Police in Morang district on Sunday morning arrested an Indian national with various pharmaceutical drugs and food items smuggled through the Jogbani border.
The arrested has been identified as Dinesh Mahato, a resident of Bikaner in Rajasthan, India.
He had rented a house in Biratnagar Metropolitan-9 which was being used as a godown. He had been selling those pharmaceutical drugs and food items from his godown.
Security personnel deployed from the Morang-based District Police Office seized 50 strips of Cefi-pro, 56 strips of Azirest, 169 units of Quinc, and different food items from the godown while searching his house.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
