Khanal elected President for NPU's Valley-Associate Province

Leela Raj Khanal has been elected the President of Valley-Associate Province of the Nepal Press Union.

The first general convention of the NPU concluded on Friday night, electing a new working committee under Khanal's leadership.

Similarly, Pushkar Budhathoki has been elected Vice-President, while Niraj Tamang Inclusive Vice-Presidnet, Sita Neupane woman Vice-president, Saila Tamang General-Secretary and Amrit Poudel, Keshab Dhungana and Bishnu Panthi Secretaries of the new working committee unopposed, said NPU's Central General-Secretary Dilip Poudel.

Shankar Aryal and Punita Jha have been elected to the post of Treasurer and Joint-Treasurer of the committee respectively.

Similarly, Kuber Giri, Sambeg Basnet, Dipendra Adhikari, Ramhari Parajuli, Sundar Pandey, Kumar Bhandari, Sita Sharma, Sushila Sigdel, Muktinath Acharya, Tulasiram Bhandari, Nabaraj Karki, Deepak Ghimire and Rama Bhurtel are the members of the committee.

Narayan Adhikari has been elected coordinator of Accounts Committee while Bhawana Hamal and Laxmi Gautam the members.
