After five months, it rained in Kathmandu Valley on Sunday afternoon.
There was no winter rain this year. On Sunday, there was light rain with thunder and lightning in the hilly areas of the country including the valley.
Within the Kathmandu Valley, some places in Lalitpur, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur are experiencing light rain. There is no immediate chance of heavy rain.
Similarly, in the hilly areas of Gandaki province including Pokhara, rain started from noon.
