Four local levels of the Kavre district have been freed from coronavirus infection. One municipality and three rural municipalities have been liberated from coronavirus infection while no new cases have been reported in the district for the last couple of days.
Mandandeupur municipality and Rishi, Temal and Khanikhola rural municipalities have remained free from coronavirus for now. According to the district-based CCMC, Chaurideurali and Mahabharat rural municipality have reported one each infected person.
The CCMC claimed that no new cases have been detected in the district since two days back. As many as 26 people have been freed of the infection on Sunday and 15 on Monday.
Kavre district has six municipalities and seven rural municipalities. Among 101 active cases in the district, Banepa municipality has 33, Panchkhal 16, Dhulikhel 18, Panauti 10, Namobuddha 11, and Bhumlu municipality seven while Bethanchowk rural municipality has four people with coronavirus infection, according to the CCMC.
Earlier, the recovery rate of coronavirus infection has surpassed the infection rate in the district as the data reveals. As many as 192 of 14,462 infected have so far succumbed to coronavirus in the district. As of now, 98 percent of the total infected ie 14,169 have been freed of the contagion.
The District Administration Office has extended ‘mix lockdown’ for 10 days up to September 21. Prohibition order has been enforced in the district since May 3 following the onset of the second wave of COVID-19.
