Police arrested a man who allegedly attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and injured her in Bhadrapur Municipality-9, Jhapa district on Friday.
The injured has Jhadkan Rajbanshi (36), severely with a sharp weapon on Friday evening.
Police identified the arrested as local resident Dev Kumar Rajbanshi(41) and injured as his wife Jhadkan Rajbanshi (36).
In a dispute, Rajbanshi attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and critically injured her.
A joint team of security personnel deployed from the Ghodamara-based Police Office and the Jhapa District Police Office arrested Rajbanshi, according to the DPO.
Severely injured Jhadkan was reported to be receiving treatment at Bhadrapur-based Omsai Pathibhara Hospital.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
