Man held with pistol, bullets used in Kapilvastu homicide

Police in Kapilvastu district on Saturday morning arrested a man in possession of a homemade pistol and two rounds of warfare bullets in Kapilvastu Municipality-1.

The arrestee has been identified Purna Bir Palpali (Kumhal) alias Maisin, a 33-year-old resident of Anandbag Kailash Tole in Kapilvastu-1. 

It has been reported that police tracked Kumhal pistol and bullet during the investigation of the murder of local Deepak Pandey who was shot dead by Sakir Pakhin on May 19.

A team of security personnel deployed from Kapilvastu District Police Office detained Kumhal along with a pistol from his residence. 

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
