Man held with stolen items in Morang

Police in Morang district arrested a man on charge of theft from Biratnagar Metropolitan-11 in Morang district on Sunday.

The arrested has been identified as Pappu Sahani (28), a local resident of Pichada Tole in the same metropolitan.

Sahani allegedly stole a laptop from Bikash Gurung's house and four silver anklets and a mobile phone from Muni Debi Shah's residence, both local residents of Biratnagar.

The police also seized two sets of mobile phones, one set of gold earrings, a silver bracelet, a silver coin, and a silver locket from his possession. The police also seized some Indian currency coins and Rs 2,895 from him.

Security personnel deployed from the Morang-based District Police Office (DPO) nabbed him from his residence.

He has been charged with theft and further investigation into the matter is underway, informed DPO, Morang.
