Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) announced to demolish the old terminal buildings of domestic airports across the country and rebuild them with modern facilities and commercialization.

NEA Director General Engineer Pradip Adhikari said that the new state-of-the-art building will be constructed within two years by demolishing the 70-year-old terminal buildings across the country. He said, “It is not possible to operate the terminal building constructed at the airport in the Terai region as it is 70 to 75 years old. We are evacuating all the buildings immediately as water leakage, passenger capacity and facilities are not up to date. ”
