The monsoon is expected to be active for few days. Meteorologist at the Department of Water and Meteorology, Sameer Shrestha, said that the monsoon activity was active due to the effect of water vapor from the Bay of Bengal. According to him, there will be light to moderate rain in most parts of the country for the next three days.
The department has requested to take necessary precaution as the water level in rivers and streams may rise which may increase the risk of erosion, landslides and drift in hilly areas due to the possibility of heavy rains in some places.
There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorm in one or two places in Province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of the country on Monday.
