In the financial year 2021/22, Nepal imported playing cards worth more than 21.5 million rupees from different countries.
According to the Customs Department, Nepal imported playing cards of the said value during the period from July 2078 to mid-June 2079.
During that period, 215.4 million 45 thousand rupees worth of playing cards entered Nepal, the department said. At that price, 1 crore 9 lakh 60 thousand 547 books playing cards have entered Nepal.
According to the department, playing cards come to Nepal from China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, and America.
According to the department, most playing cards in Nepal come from China and India. In the last financial year, Nepal imported playing cards worth Rs 1971 lakh 80 thousand from China and Rs 182 lakh 58 thousand from India.
