The districts to have the ward conventions are Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk, Kathmandu, Bajura, Kapilvastu, Bardiya, and Morang, according to the coordinator of the NC central election committee, Mahadev Prasad Yadav.
The party had earlier fixed the ward convention date today for 20 districts. But, the details on the distribution of active membership are yet to come from the remaining 13 districts.
The NC had already held the ward convention in 57 districts. The ward-level election had begun on September 3.
Yadav further said 13 districts to furnish details on active membership are Surkhet, Dolpa, Rasuwa, Rupandehi, and Kailali, and eight districts from Province-2. The convention will be held after the details are received.
The NC has about 900 thousand active members. The NC has a fresh schedule for rural municipality and municipality conventions on September 25, an area convention in the province on September 28, and a district convention with a single constituency district on October 1.
The central general convention of the party has been scheduled for November 25-29.
