A person has died in a road accident at Ratomate in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Ward No. 15 on the East-West Highway today. The deceased has been identified as Shiva Prasad Subedi, 37, of Bakaya Rural Municipality Ward No. 7, according to Inspector at the District Police Office, Makwanpur, Devendra Das.
According to him, Subedi was seriously injured when a bus (Na 6 Kha 8425) heading towards Hetauda from Bara and a motorcycle (No. 02-025 Pa 3081) collided with each other. Subedi, who was riding the motorcycle, died at Hetauda Hospital while undergoing treatment.
Similarly, Thanak Prasad Dulal, 46, of Dolakha was injured in the same accident. He is undergoing treatment at Chure Hill Hospital, Hetauda-11. Police have arrested the bus driver and are conducting necessary investigation into the incident, said Makwanpur Police.
