A total of 1,077 cases are still pending in the district court in Tanahun. The court ruled that the cases were still pending due to the government's bans, restrictions, and lockdowns on coronavirus infection prevention and control.

As the risk of infections has decreased, the issue has accelerated. According to Harish Chandra Gautam, Information Officer at the District Court, Tanahun, 499 out of a total of 1,576 cases, 959 transferred and 617 newly registered last year, have been dismissed.

According to him, 412 cases registered within six months, 287 cases within six months to twelve months, 144 within twelve months to eighteen months, 130 beyond two years, and 104 beyond eighteen months are yet to be settled. Similarly, 47 within 18 months to two years and 47 cases registered over two years ago have been dismissed.
