A pedestrian has died after being hit by a motorcycle at Rupani Gaonpalika-6 Birendra Bazaar of Saptari along the East-West Highway this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Deepnarayan Mehta, 55, of Rupani Municipality-6, according to the District Police Office. The motorcycle (Sa 4 Pa 1334) heading east from the west hit the Mehta.
He was critically injured in the accident and was admitted to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj for treatment. He died while undergoing treatment, police said.
