President Paudel honours RSS Chairman Jha

Executive Chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Dharmendra Jha, has been honoured amidst a programme organised in the federal capital today.

President Ramchandra Paudel conferred the honour on RSS Chairperson Jha in the programme organised on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of Press Council Nepal today.

Along with Chairman Jha, others to be honoured are RSS' Executive Editor Krishna Adhikari, and other journalists as Bijay Chalise, Kulchandra Wagle, Ramesh Toofan, Gagan Bista, Rajan Karki, Narendra Jung Peter, Raju Silwal, Rabindra Ghimire, Kedar Bhattarai, Moti Paudel, Ramesh Paudel, Uday GM and Raj Kumar Karki.

Similarly, Press Council Gopaldas Journalism Award has been conferred on journalist Nirmala Sharma for this year, while the Press Council Surendra Bahadur Basnet Journalism Award to journalist Daman Rai.

On the same occasion, RSS reporter Bhishma Raj Ojha was given the Press Council Active Journalism Award. He is one among 16 journalists provided this award.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma handed over the Press Council Courageous Media Person Award to journalist Sagar Pandit and Chudamani Bhattarai. The Press Council Code of Conduct Award was given to the Chesta Weekly, and journalists Rammani Dahal and Madhav Singh Dhami.

Dozens of other journalists were provided awards in various categories at the PCN function today. ----
