Chief Minister of Province 1, Sherdhan Rai, has made a proposal to finalise the name of the province once the budget for the next fiscal year 2078/79 has been announced.
While responding to questions during the announcement of the province’s policies and programmes Chief Minister Rai put forward a proposal to finalise the name of the province during the budget session. Apparently, the provincial government has been facing criticism for not being able to finalise the name of the province.
He said that discussions regarding the name of the province should be held immediately a day after the budget is announced. Rai also mentioned that all health safety protocols must be followed during this period and the budget session should be closed only after a name has been finalised.
Chief Minister Rai also stated that the provincial government had drawn the attention of the federal government regarding the export of aggregates. He also mentioned that the central government’s policy would not affect the preservation of Chure and informed that the provincial government had also drawn the attention of the federal government regarding the issue.
