Public transportation will be allowed to start operations in Kailali district from Wednesday. However, the public vehicles will be allowed to resume services based on odd-even vehicle registration number basis.
Chief District Officer Khagendra Prasad Rijal has issued a notice allowing the operation of public vehicles on odd-even number basis as per the recommendation of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre. Meanwhile, the vehicles will have to adopt all necessary health safety measures and cannot carry more passengers than their seat capacity.
Also, the vehicles will be allowed to ply only within the district.
The notice issued by CDO Rijal states that besides hotels, restaurants and tea shops all other shops will be allowed to open from 6 am till 6 pm. However, hotels and restaurants will be allowed to provide home-delivery services from 6 am till 8 pm. Meanwhile, the administration has still banned meetings, seminars and events where large crowds could gather.
The prohibitory order in Kailali has been extended till July 6.
