The reason behind Santoshi Subba’s murder has been revealed after police arrested the man who had been accused of her murder. According to Metropolitan Crime Division, Subba was killed while resisting a rape attempt by the accused on June 20.
Police had earlier nabbed Suresh Timilsina of Chautara in Sindhupalchowk, who had been accused of the murder, from Kamalachi in Ason.
The police have informed that Timilsina works as a helper in a public bus. Subba had sought help from Timilsina as she did not have a place to stay that day and the accused had assured to allow her to sleep in the bus that he worked for.
Once inside the bus Timilsina tried to rape Subba and she resisted. It was then that the accused killed Subba by strangling her with a shawl, informed SSP Chandra Kuber Khapung of Metropolitan Crime Division. According to SSP Khapung, the accused had disfigured Subba’s face with a stone so that her body would not been identified. After murdering Subba, Timilisina had then come to Kathmandu and was hiding.
