Search and rescue teams reaching plane crash site

According to a statement from Tara Air, the 9N-AET, DHC-6 TWIN OTTER aircraft of Tara Air, which flew from Pokhara to Jomsom at 9.55 am on Sunday, May 29, has been found after it is believed to have crashed at an altitude of 14,200 feet at Sanuser Bhir in Thasang village Palika Ward No. 2 of Mustang district.

The last time the aircraft came in contact with Jomsom Tower was at 10:07 am on Sunday from Ghodepani. Despite the adverse weather and difficult geographical terrain, the crash site was found by air and ground search through the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Search and Rescue Coordination Center this morning.
