Police in Dang district on Saturday evening arrested six persons who were allegedly involved in gambling offences from Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-15. They were held from Gaurideep Hotel and Restaurant.
One of the arrested has been identified as Sudhir Neupane (40), a resident of the same sub-metropolis in the district while the names of the other five have not been disclosed.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Dang-based District Police Office (DPO) nabbed them from the hotel. The police also seized almost Rs 1.40 lakh and one deck of cards from their possession.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed DPO, Dang.
