BHAKTAPUR: President Ramchandra Paudel has viewed knowledge and yog are essential to instill spiritual awakening in people and society.
Inaugurating the Brahmakumari Knowledge Academy at Nagarkot of Changunarayan municipality-6, Bhaktapur on Sunday, President Paudel said the spiritual awakening would contribute to foster love, peace and harmony, thereby building a cultured and civilized society.
"Nepal is rich in oriental philosophy, knowledge and tradition. There are numerous cultures and civilizations under the oriental philosophy which nurture unity and solidarity," he reminded, adding that such unity has helped in creating feeling of fraternity and tolerance.
According to him, extreme greed was growing alarmingly for material development, which has eroded peace, cohesion and cooperation in society. The Brahmakumari Nepal has been involving in peace, harmony and fraternity for nearly six decades in Nepal, he reminded.
The Knowledge Academy would be helpful to establish happy and peaceful society, the President believed.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, said peace and bliss were essential for happy humanity.
The Knowledge Academy has been designed as a centre for meditation and yog. The facility built in 17 ropanies of land has the structures capacious for residential services to 100 persons at a time.
