A total of nine local levels in Tanahun district have presented their policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2021/022. The local levels in the district brought the budget of Rs 6.69 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.
Of the four municipalities and six rural municipalities, Bhanu Municipality is preparing for the new budget. Political conflict is said to have delayed the presentation of policy and programme in Bhanu Municipality.
Chief Administrative Officer of Bhanu Municipality, Bhim Prasad Tiwari, said that they were in consultation to unveil the new budget.
Vyas Municipality in the district has presented the budget of Rs 1.77 billion and nine million, which is the largest in size compared to other local levels in the district.
The size of budget in Shuklagandaki Municipality is Rs 1.6 billion and 8.6 million and Rs 586.6 million in Bhimad Municipality.
Ghiring Rural Municipality unveiled the budget of Rs 463.4 million, the smallest size compared to other local levels. The local levels in Tanahun have laid emphasis on health care, social issues, quality education, agriculture and the issues of their priorities.
