A man was arrested on the charge of raping a 19-year-old girl in Pokhara Metropolitan City-25, Kaski district on Monday.
The accused has been identified as Harka Bahadur BK (32) of Hemja in Machapuchchre Rural Municipality-25 in Kaski district.
Security personnel deployed from Kaski District Police Office (DPO) arrested BK acting on the complaint that he had lured the girl and raped her.
BK has been charged with rape and further investigation into the case is underway, informed the DPO.
Likewise, police on Monday evening arrested an Indian national on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl in Mechinagar Municipality-10 of Jhapa district.
The accused has been identified as Surendra Sahani (22) of Madhuwani, India.
Security personnel deployed from the Kakarbhitta-based Area Police Office arrested Sahani after receiving information that the accused had threatened the girl and repeatedly raped her.
Further investigation into the cases is underway, informed the police.
