Two held with 28.5kg hashish in Rupandehi

Two persons were arrested in possession of 28.5 kilograms of hashish in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City of Rupandehi district, on Friday evening.

The arrestees have been identified as Rohit Rana (36) of Badigad Rural Municipality-8 in Baglung district and Jeevan Pun (63) of Butwal.

Acting on the tip-off that illegal drug dealing was taking place at Namaste Path KFC Pizza Hub in Devinagar, Butwal-11, a team of police personnel deployed from the Lumbini Province Police Office reached the site and arrested them along with 28.5kg hashish, on Friday evening. Police have also impounded a scooter (Lu 25 P 3544) belonging to one of them.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway, said police.
