Vaccination being carried out in nine districts of Karnali

Around 20,000 local children in Jumla have been vaccinated against corona. According to Krishna Sapkota, head of the Jumla Public Health Office, 20,000 children in seven villages including one municipality of the district have been vaccinated.

He said, "Modern vaccination has been started in Chandannath Municipality, Guthichaur, Patarasi, Tatopani, and Tila villages from 7 to 10 January." Modern vaccination against corona has been started by collecting data on the basis of enrollment of students in the age group of 12 to 17 years. The head of the office, Sapkota, said that preparations have been made for vaccination in Hima, Sinja and Kankasundari villages since January 25. The aim is to vaccinate 3,800 children in the city. As of Friday, 1,935 children have been vaccinated against the disease, said Bahadur Mahat, chief of Chandannath Municipality Health Branch.

Apart from Surkhet, children in nine districts of Karnali have been vaccinated against corona. The first dose of modern vaccine has been given in Dailekh, Jajarkot, Rukum West, Salyan, Kalikot, Jumla, Humla, Mugu and Dolpa of Karnali. According to Padam KC, information officer of the state health service directorate, the first dose of the Mordana vaccine will be given from Saturday to January 4 and the second dose from January 2 to 10.

KC, an information officer at the Directorate, said that vaccination centers have been set up at nine centers in Savikka VDC and two places at the current local level. Health workers, teachers, educators, and women's health volunteers have been mobilized in the vaccination center.

Arrangements have been made to vaccinate out-of-school children at a nearby center. More than five children must be present to be vaccinated and must be vaccinated within 6 hours. The state health service directorate aims to vaccinate 154,872 children in nine districts of Karnali, said KC, information officer of the directorate.
