BIRATNAGAR: Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, has directed the employees concerned to deliver in a way that the citizens could feel the presence of good governance.
In his address to an inaugural session of a three-day workshop on good governance and fiscal discipline-2081 BS organised in Biratnagar today, the Minister stressed the need to ensure the supplies of pure drinking water to citizens. "It is warranted to guarantee effective management of office information and public grudges, establish financial discipline, and proceed with arrears settlement and audit, making the citizens feel the presence of good governance."
Ministry Secretary Engineer Pramila Devi Shakya Bajracharya urged employees to remove the duplication in the projects' selection.
Director General of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, Engineer Ram Kumar Shrestha said arrears and corruption are different issues, highlighting the need the collective efforts among the federal and province to address the problem. "However, our maximum efforts will be for preventing arrears."
