A woman's body was found dead in Birtamod Municipality-5 in Jhapa district this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Srijana Basnet (25) of Arjundhara in the district.
Her body was found in front of her rented house which is close to Sugam Petrol Pump on the East-West Highway.
She was currently residing with her relatives in Birtamod, informed Rakesh Thapa, Spokesperson of District Police Office, Jhapa.
She had been living with her family including her mother and siblings and was employed in Srijanasil Finance Company of Birtamod.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed the police.
