The Yugkavi Siddicharan Foundation has decided to confer the Yugkavi Siddicharan Award-2080' on Professor Dr Jayaraj Acharya. He is being awarded for his contribution to the development of Nepali literature by adhering to Yugkavi's creation.
Similarly, journalist Chetnath Dhamala is to be honoured with the 'Yugkavi SiddicharanYouth Journalism Award-2080' for his longtime contribution to journalism. Yugkavi Shrestha was a romantic poet, famous for revolutionary and progressive creation- poems and lyrics.
The meeting presided over by Foundation Chair Bairagi Kainla decided that the award would be conferred amidst a special programme to be organized on the 112th birth anniversary of Yugkavi Shrestha on coming May 23.
