Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said he would field his candidacy for only the post that is party president in the coming 14th general convention.
At a programme organised by Nepal Press Union Khotang chapter here today, leader Koirala however said he was holding discussions with party leaders and cadres on his candidacy for the party president. He argued that internal democracy in the party was getting ruined, so his candidacy was for restoring party image.
Leader Koirala accused Prime Minister KP Oli of creating present political uncertainty. "As the House of Representatives is in a state of indecision, there is no option but to go for election," he stressed.
