Ishwar Pokhrel, who is the general secretary of CPN UML, will be losing his ministerial post. During the reshuffling of the Council of Ministers that took place today after the Mahanta Thakur-led faction of Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal decided to join the government, Pokhrel was not been included in the Cabinet.
Meanwhile, Bishnu Prasad Poudel and Raghubir Mahaseth of CPN UML will be made the deputy prime ministers. According to a source, Poudel will still be Minister of Finance whereas Mahaseth will be given the portfolio of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Likewise, party office secretary, Sher Bahadur Tamang, is likely to be the Minister of Health and Population.
