Locals in Kalikot are found happy with the three-point agreement forged between Government and the Netra Bikram Chand-led party.
The adversely affected district Kalikot during a decade long Maoist insurgency now is found happy with the new political beginning by the Chand-led party.
The district has lost 600 locals to the Maoist conflict. The talks team coordinator Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma is a permanent resident of the district who led the talks to a fruitful conclusion brought cheers on the faces of the folks in the district.
However, the locals were in tension with the continuity of the insurgency by the Chand-led party even after the end of the decade-long Maoist war in 2006.
Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction district chair Nagendra Shahi shared that the locals were now pleased with the end of terror after the Chand-led party entered peaceful politics.
Similarly, Chand-led party district secretary Mnai Lal Aidi shared that they were inspired to expand the party organisation in the peaceful movement.
