Nepali Congress to join Karnali Province govt

Nepali Congress has decided to join the government of Karnali Province.

The name of lawmakers from NC has been finalised. The NC parliamentary party meeting held on Friday evening decided to recommend Surkhet's Yagya Bahadur BC for Karnali's Ministry of Social Development and Jumla's Dinbandhu Shrestha as Minister for Water resource and Energy development.

It has been learnt that the two lawmakers of NC will be appointed ministers while they will be sworn in the following day.

Nepali Congress had supported the Province Chief Minister, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi in the vote of confidence, on April 16. Four lawmakers close to Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the CPN UML had also supported CM Shahi from CPN Maoist Centre.
