A meeting of the Socialist Front summoned for today has been uncertain with the demise of CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Sita Dahal.

The party's advisor and the spouse of Maoist Centre leader Sita Dahal passed away this morning following the complications from Parkinson's she was suffering from for years.

Earlier, the meeting was summoned at the central office of CPN (Unified Socialist) for 4:00 pm today, according to party vice chair Rajendra Pandey.

In the meeting, the Front, consisting of four political parties, was expected to discuss about contemporary political scenario, preparations for its programmes targeted at all provinces and a proposal prepared by a taskforce comprising CPN (Maoist Centre) general secretary Dev Gurung, Unified Socialist leader Pramesh Hamal, Janata Samajbadi leader Rajendra Shrestha and Communist Party of Nepal's leader Khadka Bahadur Bishwokarma.

The very first meeting of the Front held on July 8 had decided to organise its programmes in each province in a bid to make the people aware of the 'essence of its presence'.

The formation of the Front was announced on June 19 and it has been agreed to lead the Front on a rotational basis among four political parties. ---
