Three cadres of Biplav-led CPN arrested in Saptari, charged with extortion

Police in Saptari district today arrested three members of Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Netra Bikram Chand. 

The arrestees include CPN Saptari chief, police informed.

Those arrested with donation receipts were Ram Nath Mandal, alias Adarha of Khadak Municipality-3, Udayanath Mandal of Rajbiraj Municipality-4 and Ram Krishna Mandal of Bishnupur Rural Municipality, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Saptari District Police Office, Bhubaneswar Prasad Shah.

Police also recovered some documents, membership receipts, donation slips and pamphlets from them. They were arrested following an operation carried out in response to complaints of the group involved in extortion in the district, police said.
