UML standing committee meeting today

The CPN UML has decided to vote against the government during the vote of confidence at the House of Representatives.

CPN-UML's standing committee meeting is being held on Tuesday. UML Central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang informed that the meeting will be held at Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Lalitpur . According to him, the meeting will discuss the preparations for the general convention. Also, as per the constitution, the Central Committee will decide on the delegates to be nominated by the General Convention.

The main agenda of the meeting is to discuss the preparations for the General Convention. According to the constitution, the nomination of 5 percent delegates to the General Convention will be finalized today, 'said Tamang.

General convention delegates to increase

Meanwhile, the number of delegates voting in the 10th General Convention of the CPN-UML is expected to increase. UML leaders have said that the number of delegates to the General Convention will also increase as the number of party members has increased from the previous 1,999 delegates.

Tamang said the central committee could reach 2,150 to 2,200 delegates, including 5 percent to be nominated.
