Nepal's Raju Rai Erawan has secured a momentous victory in the Gorkhali Championship Promotion, marking a significant milestone in the history of Nepali Muay Thai. Competing against a seasoned Thai fighter with an impressive record of 101 fights, including 63 wins and 28 losses, Raju Erawan emerged victorious by unanimous decision at 57kg.
Erawan, who entered the ring with 19 fights under his belt—17 of which he had won—demonstrated exceptional skill and determination. His triumph not only represents his first international win but also a historic achievement for Nepal in the realm of Muay Thai.
Raju Erawan has been dedicated to the sport since 2009, earning three national championships including wbc Muay Thai national champion and competing in numerous international fights. This latest victory solidifies his reputation on the global stage. Erawan currently runs his own training facility, Erawan Muay Thai Fight Gym, located in Bansbari Chakrapath, Kathmandu.
