KATHMANDU: Pokhara Avengers have won their first win in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Pokhara registered their first win by defeating Lumbini Lions by 10 wickets in the second match played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur today.
Chasing the target of 171 runs set by Lumbini for victory, Pokhara achieved it in 16.5 overs without losing a wicket. Both openers gave a brilliant performance in Pokhara's victory. Andries Gauss played a century for Pokhara. He scored an unbeaten 104 runs in 55 balls, hitting five sixes and 12 fours. Gauss has become the first player to score a century in the NPL by scoring the most runs so far.
