KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to compete against Kuwait on Tuesday in the ICC U-19 Women’s World Cup Asia Zone Qualifiers taking place in the UAE. The match will be held at The Seven Stadium in Ajman, kicking off at 9:30 am local time.
In their previous meeting, Nepal secured a victory over Kuwait by 108 runs and will strive to achieve a similar result in today’s game.
So far in the qualifiers, Nepal has performed well, winning their first match against Thailand by 67 runs and achieving another victory against a different opponent by 106 runs.
However, they encountered a loss in their third match against the host team, UAE, by 13 runs.
The four teams in this qualifier will each play six matches in a double round-robin format.
The top team at the conclusion of the league will earn a place in the ICC U-19 World Cup in Malaysia, which is scheduled for January 18 to February 2, 2025.
The leading team from the Asian qualifiers will join Group D, which includes Australia, Bangladesh, and Scotland.
