Chatur Tamang successfully climbs Mount Elbrus for the 144th time

 Mountaineer and guide Chatur Tamang successfully climbed Europe's highest mountain Mount Elbrus (5,642 meters) for the 144th time.

He successfully climbed Mount Elbrus at 9 am Russian time on Thursday. In the winter of 2024, he managed to take his first step on Mount Elbrus.

He has been working as a guide on Mount Elbrus for a long time in Russia and has started climbing Elbrus since 2002.

Tamang has set a goal of climbing Mount Elbrus two hundred times.

After more success in Elbrus Mountain, he wrote his experience on the social network Facebook that

"I started the New Year by climbing the winter Elbrus. The weather is harsh, as much as -53 degrees at the top. Even the high-rise jumpsuit could not cope with such cold, I had to put a warm down jacket on top of it. My 144 time at the top of Elbrus is frosty and invigorating."
