Foreigners restricted from using TIA as transit point

The Department of Immigration has issued a notice stating that the arrival of foreign travellers intending to travel to third countries via Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and using TIA as a transit point will be restricted from midnight of April 28 until the next notice.

The department has stated that this decision has been taken considering the global COVID-19 pandemic (new variant).

It has also mentioned that the ongoing services being provided to travellers arriving in Nepal as the final destination and departing from Nepal will be continued as usual.
