One person died in a Simrik Air helicopter accident at Bhotkhola-4 of Sankhuwasabha. DSP Birendra Godar informed that local Bhabin Gurung died in the accident.
He said that four people aboard the helicopter were seriously injured. According to the police, a helicopter crashed into a tree at Hammaredanda in Sikprung, Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 Hatia today at 1:10 pm.
The deceased Gurung was working as a helper in the helicopter. Captain Surendra Poudel, co-pilot Chiring Bhote, another assistant Manoj Thapa and Nepal Electricity Authority employee Bikram Shankar were seriously injured in the accident. They have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
