As the spring climbing season is approaching, the icefall route construction team left for Everest Base Camp from the head office of the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee at Namche Bazaar. The team will fix and maintain the Khumbu Icefall Route for climbers attempting Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Nuptse in the spring of 2023 climbing season. Prior to route construction, the icefall route construction team will attend on-site training from instructors of the Khumbu Climbing Center at Everest base camp from 2nd March to 4th March.
