Lumbini's potential for religious tourism must be utilized: PM Dahal

On the occasion of 2567th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal attended the ceremony organized in Lumbini today. 

He said that the birth of Buddha was a matter of pride for Nepal and Nepali people. Prime Minister Prachanda said that his birth not only made Nepal famous in the world but also provided unlimited possibilities through religious tourism.

He said that it is difficult to estimate the potential of Lumbini, which is a sacred place that more than four billion Buddhists around the world must visit once in a lifetime. He said that even if we only guessed, we felt a sense of reverence and joy at the same time, and clarified that our weakness is not being able to utilize those possibilities even though there are abundant possibilities. Prime Minister Prachanda informed that the current government will take this fact to heart and move forward with the work.
