Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has expressed its concern about the guidelines and new standards issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) for passengers arriving in Nepal.
The NATTA has raised concern over the guidelines that demand photo identification of travellers who have negative RT- PCR report.
NATTA has stated that the rule for passengers to produce the negative PCR report along with their photo identification appears overemphasised. "In foreign countries, there is no provision of providing the PCR report with photo identification and such rules may complicate the travellers and increase the probabilities of being restricted in visiting Nepal due to the extended rule," the statement issued by the NATTA read.
Meanwhile, NATTA has requested the government to ease the standards set for travellers visiting Nepal. The NATTA has also asked the government not to make the quarantine mandatory for fully vaccinated travellers including Nepalis and foreigners.
