Paddy plantation in Gorkha district has been badly hampered after oxen started getting sick and dying from lumpy skin disease.

Department of Livestock Services has sought more actions on the part of local governments to contain lumpy skin disease among the cattle.

Around 10,480 chickens, 1,050 chicks, 4,523 eggs, and 1,475 kg of poultry feed were destroyed on Wednesday after bird flu was confirmed in the chickens of three poultry farms located at Sudal of Changunarayan municipality- 8.

Bird flu has been confirmed in two places of Morang.

Bird flu has been detected again in three places of Kathmandu valley. According to the Department of Livestock Services, bird flu has been confirmed in Ward No. 4 and 9 of Kirtipur Municipality and Ward No. 2 of Chandragiri Municipality.
