The government has extended the campaign against elephantiasis for five more days. Earlier, the time of medicine against elephantiasis was slated till today.

The campaign to give medicine against elephantiasis has started in 15 districts. The campaign will be conducted today from February 23 to 26.

Generally, filariasis is eradicated in six years, but it has not been eradicated for 13 years in Baglung.

The campaign to take medicine against elephantiasis will be conducted from March 11 to April 20

The District Health Office Jhapa said that the district has recorded as many as 553 cases of elephantiasis.
