Over 10 percent of children in Japan who developed acute brain syndrome after infection with COVID-19 has died, Kyodo News reported citing results of a nationwide survey recently announced by a health ministry research team.
Japan reported its first case of a Japanese national infected with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, marking the third case in the country on Monday, reported Kyodo News.
