Malaysia’s king on Thursday named reformist opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim as the country’s Prime Minister, ending days of uncertainty after divisive general elections produced a hung Parliament.
Malaysian PM Muhyiddin Yassin announced Monday the Movement Control Order that has been in place in areas like the national capital of Kuala Lumpur will be expanded to the whole country till June following the recent spike of the COVID-19 cases.
