Speaker Sapkota

Sapkota has left for Azerbaijan to attend the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network conference.

A meeting was held between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota today.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota said, "The tendency to interpret the law according to one's own convenience has created problems."

In a writ petition filed at the Supreme Court (SC) demanding to revoke the membership of 14 UML lawmakers, the SC has fixed the next date for the hearing for Tuesday.

The meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed till September 23.
