A demonstration has taken place in Kathmandu today demanding the immediate release of Nepali journalist Umakanta Pandey, who was imprisoned in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Umakanta Pandey, a journalist affiliated with Ujjyalo Radio Network, was arrested on 15 February under cybercrime charges in which he accused the Nepali embassy in the UAE of wrongdoings in regards to Visit Visas in the UAE.
